On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the TGR Learning Lab held its annual Registration Day and Back-to-School Resource Fair. The event was created to give students and families an opportunity to check out the facility, learn about opportunities and register for fall programs.

Students and families enter the TGR Learning Lab after doors open for fall registration day.

As doors opened, parents and students headed upstairs to watch class demos from instructors, experience tools and technology and start the registration process.

Madison McCarthy highlights classes being offered during the fall sessions at the TGR Learning Lab.

They explored the Makerspace, learned about robotics, examined sea creatures, inspected rocks and minerals and even dove into a virtual drone flight.

TGR Learning Lab instructor, Don Bell, highlights animals explored through comparative zoology courses.

After learning more about fall class options, families headed downstairs to register and visit the Resource Fair featuring a variety of community organizations including the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), Cal Optima Health and Anaheim Neighborhood Services.

Orange County Transportation Athority was one of several OC organizations that provided resources to families.

Angels Strike Force also joined the fair to promote the upcoming season and give visitors an opportunity to spin a prize wheel for team merchandise.

Guests visit Angels Strikeforce booth to win a prize and learn more about the upcoming season.

One of the booths was hosted by Learning Lab alumnus and Anaheim Mayor Pro Tem, Carlos Leon.

The Learning Lab is honored to welcome back alumni and proud to see how far they’ve come as they inspire Learning Lab members and pay it forward for other students in the community.

As the new school year approaches, the TGR Learning Lab aims to prepare students today for successful futures tomorrow through STEAM programs, college and career resources and supportive educators. Students are encouraged to follow their curiosity, find their passion and move forward with full steam.
