In recognition of National Volunteer Month, the TGR Learning Lab proudly celebrates the dedicated volunteers whose time, talent and commitment make its programs possible across Learning Lab communities. Throughout the month of April, the Learning Lab has expressed deep appreciation for the individuals who consistently step forward to support students, educators and families in meaningful and impactful ways.
As part of the celebration, the TGR Learning Lab hosted a Volunteer Appreciation event on Saturday, April 18, bringing together volunteers, their friends and family members for a day of connection and gratitude. The event created space for volunteers to relax, reflect and build relationships beyond their service roles, strengthening the sense of community at the heart of the Foundation’s work.

Attendees spent the afternoon enjoying shared lunch, participating in engaging activities, and bonding with fellow volunteers and loved ones. The celebration highlighted the collective impact of volunteers while recognizing the personal relationships and families that support their service. By welcoming loved ones into the experience, the event highlighted that volunteering at the Learning Lab is not only a commitment of time, but a shared journey rooted in community.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of TGR Foundation. Their generosity, passion and belief in our young people help bring our mission to life every day. National Volunteer Month is an opportunity to recognize their invaluable contributions and to thank the families and friends who support them along the way.
Volunteers support TGR Learning Lab programs in numerous ways, from mentoring students and assisting in classrooms to supporting events and providing career-connected learning experiences. Their involvement enhances learning environments, expands opportunities for youth and helps ensure students feel supported, encouraged and inspired to reach their full potential.

The April 18 celebration served as both a thank-you and a reminder of the powerful community built through shared purpose and service. Laughter, conversation and connection filled the space as volunteers reflected on their experiences and the meaningful impact of their work.
As National Volunteer Month comes to a close, the TGR Learning Lab extends its heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers who give their time and talents in support of the organization’s vision of a world where opportunity is universal and potential is limitless. The team is honored to serve alongside such dedicated individuals and looks forward to continuing this work together.
